12th Annual Plein Air Juried Exhibition April 29-May 5

From April 29 – May 5, 2018, 40 Plein Air artists from across the nation will be working in various mediums to capture the outdoor sights and scenes of historic Marble Falls and the panoramic Texas Hill Country that surrounds it. For a week, with thousands of visitors, there will be an expansive exhibiting/sales gallery, live demonstrations, a Quick Draw downtown, Sunrise and Nocturne painting , a student competition and a nationally recognized judge presenting the award winners.

2018 Schedule

    • Sunday, April 29 – Registration/orientation/reception – artists and Palette pass holders only
    • Monday, April 30 – free paint day
    • Tuesday, May 1 – Candlelight Ranch painting and BBQ lunch –
      • Open to the public
      • Lunch complimentary for artists and Palette Pass holders, ticketed for public
    • Wednesday, May 2 – Sunrise and nocturne painting
    • Thursday, May 3 – Young Artists Day – 10am-Noon
      • Open to the public
      • Artists mentoring students (limit to 30) at local lakeside restaurant
      • Supplies and frames provided by HLCA
      • Lunch complimentary for artists, students and Palette Pass holders, ticketed for public
    • Friday, May 4 – Lakeside Pavilion open at 11am for gallery sales
      • Deadline for competition pieces – 2pm
      • Palette Pass Private Show 4:30-6:00pm
      • Collectors Reception and Award Celebration 6:30-9:00pm
      • Ticketed event (open to Palette Passes holders)
    • Saturday, May 5 – Paint The Town Celebration @ Lakeside Pavilion – 10am-7pm
      • Open to the public
      • Art sales and demos
      • food and beverage available for purchase
      • Quick Draw downtown @ 10am – street auction of QD pieces on-site
